What if I need to talk to someone urgently?

Do I need a referral?

No you do not need a referral to see me, although I am also happy to take referrals from your GP. You can just phone or email me directly to make an appointment or discuss if this is right for you.

Will my information be kept private?

As a Registered Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board, I operate under the Code of Ethics. Accordingly, all information is treated as strictly confidential and will only be released to others with your permission. Limits to confidentiality include client or public safety and legal responsibility (if I have been ordered to disclose information by a court of law). You would be informed if this was to occur.

We are not all in the Same Storm – Lockdown Lessons

If someone said even 3 months ago that everyone would stay home for 5 weeks and the country would all but shut down, most of us would have said yeah right! Or buddy you need to get out more! But here we are on the other side of an almost 5 week lockdown and the one thing that I can say is it only highlights even more that we are all different, and all respond differently to major stressors like this, and that is okay.
